SOV Young

SOV Young is a symphonic youth orchestra by and for young people aged between 14 and 20, based in Ghent. Each year they are coached during two projects by musicians from Flanders Symphony Orchestra, with as grand finale, a public concert. The programme covers an iron repertoire with a contemporary twist. For this project, Flanders Symphony Orchestra works together with the Ghent Royal Conservatory.
The artistic direction is led by Martijn Dendievel, assistant conductor of Flanders Symphony Orchestra.

The finale is always a public concert. The programme includes a strong repertoire with a contemporary twist. Artistic direction is in the hands of Martijn Dendievel.

The Flanders Symphony Orchestra devotes every attention to both young talent and talent development. New courses provide additional support and guidance.
