Het Fluitconcerto van Khachaturian met fluitist Stathis Karapanos
In de komende maanden werken we samen met de Griekse rising star Stathis Karapanos voor het SONY-label. Als jonge fluitist maakt hij een blitzcarrière. Zijn oog viel op Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen voor de opname van het fluitconcerto van Aram Khachaturian. Wij vullen de opname aan met de Klassieke Symfonie van Sergej Prokofjev, en dit alles onder het goedkeurende oog van de grammy award wining producer Michael Fine.
César Franck met pianist Tanguy de Williencourt
Recent namen we twee werken van Belgische componist César Franck op: Les Djinns en Variations Symphoniques. We deden dit samen met de briljante Franse pianist Tanguy de Williencourt voor het label Mirare.

Beethoven Complete Symphonies
Together with its chief-conductor Kristiina Poska the Flanders Symphony Orchestra embarks on a journey recording the complete Beethoven symphonies. Beethoven’s symphonies have been a point of reference for the orchestra over the last few decades, being a bright lighthouse at the very heart of the symphonic literature.
This first volume combines the First with the Seventh Symphony, demonstrating the spectacular range of rhetorics and emotions in Beethoven’s music. While the First Symphony still retains the lingering scent of the classical era, the Seventh is a culmination of the symphonic form originating from the dance suite, exploring all the possibilities of the early romantic orchestra and setting unprecedented musical standards for the future.
As of Friday March 5 Beethoven Complete Symphonies Vol. 1 Nos. 1 & 7 is the Keuze van Klara.

Beethoven, Complete Symphonies Vol. 1, Nos. 1 & 7 will be released on all digital platforms on 26 February 2021.
