We open with the impressive Adagio for Orchestral Quartet by Belgian composer Guillaume Lekeu. Next, Ella van Poucke, a member of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, ventures into the acrobatics of Saint-Saëns’ First Cello Concerto. Chief conductor Jan Latham-Koenig will be leading our orchestra for the very last time. His farewell will be in genuine Franco-Belgian style, with César Franck’s Symphony in d minor.
