Bienvenue à Montmartre in the thirties: a whirling merry-go-round of genres and styles! With a graceful wink, pianists Frank Braley and Eric Le Sage raise their glass of eau de vie and give us their take on Poulenc. The latter's peer, Darius Milhaud, was inspired by the swinging rhythms of Rio de Janeiro when he composed his rumbustious ballet Le Boeuf sur le Toit (literally'The Ox on The Roof'). Meanwhile, Gershwin's genius opera Porgy and Bess flits from jazz to classical, offering us the best of both worlds. Cheers!
